Teaching Overcoming Righteousness And Healing UPDATE: When Paul Drieman and Terry Williams left Tennessee in 2008; Return To Torah Ministries was forced to change the scope of what we do. A very important part of this ministry was the spiritual and physical health of the people we deal with. This is an area that Mark Carr has devoted his efforts to and that this ministry is still active in. This web site and all information is maintained by Mark. Be sure to select the link "Are You Sick" at the left for information on healing. Below is the origional information on this much needed ministry: Return To Torah Ministries is a Christian ministry that was founded on July 26, 2005 by Mark Carr, Paul Drieman and Terry Williams with a Sacred Purpose Trust. It is a unique ministry in Knoxville, Tennessee that was established to be an umbrella organization helping people across the United States reach out so they can help others who are in need, one at a time We seek to minister to the widows and the orphans as we are commanded in James 1:27. It is our desire to partner the elderly with the youth so that knowledge and skills can be passed down from one generation to another. We seek to reach out to local communities wherever possible and establish programs that educate God's people on Biblical principles of living, working and health. We believe one of the best ways to accomplish this is with mentoring programs that team older experienced people with the youth to help them wherever possible. The intent of this ministry is to turn the hearts of the people back to God and His son Jesus through ministering to the widows, orphans, youth through those who have a pure love for the Father and Son in their heart. This revolutionary calling from God began a ministry that is dedicated to leading and teaching others to live a pure Torah life style as taught by Jesus. To experience the promise of Psalms 119:165, "Great peace have those who love Your Torah, And nothing causes them to stumble". Imagine living as Jesus would live today. Worshiping like Jesus would worship today. Obeying the same laws that Jesus obeyed. Living like Jesus instructs us to live. That is what this ministry wants to accomplish. That is what God is leading us to restore. Look at our instruction in: Jeremiah 6:16, "Thus says the LORD: "Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls.." Our Theme Is Helping Others Help Others! One of the goals of this learning center is to provide an atmosphere where this happens, “And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers...” (Mal 4:6) Did you know that the Torah is a central part of our walk with God? Some have been taught that the law is at odds with grace. This is not what Jesus taught, nor is it what the Bible says. One example is John 1:17 "For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ." Because some translations insert the word, "but", a word that does not belong and does not appear in the original manuscripts (that is why it is in italics); the whole meaning of this Scripture is changed. The law is not void of grace and truth, it is not the opposite of grace and truth. Lets look at the words of Jesus to the religious leaders of his time: Matt 23:23 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone." Jesus said that the "weightier matters of the law" (Torah) are "justice and mercy and faith"!! Most Christians do not know that Jesus is found in the Torah, he said: John 5:46 "For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me." This ministry seeks to show you how to find Jesus in the Torah. This ministry seeks to turn your heart back to the faith of Jesus, His disciples and Paul that was based on Torah. We seek to show the importance of observing the whole Torah because of our love for God; not because of legalism, John 14:15.
